Shawn Hook

Releasing an album during a global pandemic is tough to say the least, especially for performing artists and music fans used to the powerful experience of live concerts. A passionate performer, Shawn Hook has found new ways to connect with fans mastering the intimate live stream concert and used his time wisely to complete his new EP ‘Take Me Home’.

If there were an easy path to pop stardom, singer-songwriter Shawn Hook would have crossed it long ago. Instead, he traded the short shelf life of teen idol status for the steady mastery of his craft. The game plan paid off with multiple double-platinum hit singles, “Sound of Your Heart” and “Reminding Me” feat. Vanessa Hudgens which broke through Top 40 radio in North America.

Raised in rural British Columbia, Shawn grew up far from the big city, but from an early age harboured big dreams. He studied piano as a kid, later making his first attempts at songwriting as a teen. Today, Shawn is a multiple JUNO Award nominated artist with hundreds of millions of streams, collaborated with some of the industry’s biggest hit songwriters, and shared some of the biggest stages with The Weeknd, Shawn Mendes, The Chainsmokers, and Camila Cabello amongst others.

One of Shawn’s most proud accolades, was being awarded the Allan Slaight Honour at Canada’s Walk of Fame which recognizes young Canadian artists who are using their talent to inspire people around the world. An honour bestowed on past artists such as Drake, Alessia Cara and Jessie Reyez. “Music does bring people together,” Shawn says. “There’s that affirmation moment when you look out at a crowd and see such a diversity among the people. You don’t know what divides them, but you do know what unites them: Music.”
